Since 1869, Central Presbyterian Church has served as Home for parishioners in Waco and the surrounding areas. In 2004, CPC moved from an older building in downtown Waco (now the Meyers Center of Mission Waco) to a newer building near Estates and Highway 84, where Woodway, Waco, and Hewitt come together.

Our pastor, the Rev. Judith March Hardie (LPTS ’03), has been with us since the Fall of 2018. She has served churches in a variety of contexts, worshiping with both contemporary and traditional music (claiming it is often the music through which the Spirit moves her). She plans ahead, invites all to engage, and welcomes innovation.

CPC is a Matthew 25 church, concerned with joining and following wherever Christ is working. We are Open and Affirming, striving to be as inclusive as God's creation is diverse. Our worship is fairly traditional, with an enthusiastic music program, and a gracious, adventurous congregation! Keeping Christ central to all we do helps us tune-in to the Spirit that gathers, leads, and provokes us towards Christ's new Way!

If you seek to serve a fellowship with an attitude of gratitude, a spirit of empathetic, loving kindness, and a willingness to serve the community, consider this your invitation:  Come, join our team!
