Children Ministry

Our goal is to help children grow in their awareness of God's presence in their lives--God's call to live in loving kindness, to lovingly serve others, and to follow Christ in bringing God's kingdom of justice and peace to the world. We want to teach and lead them by example, honoring every person and learning how best to become the unique person God created us to be.

CPC believes that these years are a crucial time of spiritual development for children. We feel privileged to have a part in helping children as they learn Bible skills, Christian character and form attitudes of worship as they grow into the people God planned for each of them to be.

Children worship with their families on the first Sunday of each month, as we celebrate Communion all together before moving on to our first Sunday potluck in the Activity Center.

On other Sundays, children of all ages are invited up for a Time with Young Disciples, and are then led off to the children's wing where there is a nursery and a one-room-schoolhouse style of Sunday School where students delve into biblical lessons through Godly Play, arts & crafts, and other creative ways to engage the Biblical stories and encounter Jesus.

On Wednesday, during Choir Rehearsal, our Family Ministries Coordinator is building up our Kids' Connection (K-5th, helpful older siblings are welcome).  Sundays from 5 - 7pm our Youth Group gathers. Both fellowships enjoy creative activities, service projects, fun fellowship and of course both physical and spiritual nourishment!

Special programing - like Vacation Bible School, holiday activities, KidsQuake, YouthQuake,  service opportunities, and our annual No Rehearsal Christmas Pageant -- provide fellowship and fun.

Family and friends are always welcome!
